Did I ever tell you how I made those apple dumplings, except with peaches? I prefer them with the peaches, but either way, this dish is DELICIOUS and super easy.

I decided to bake coffee cake the other night. It was SO moist and the topping was ah-ma-zing. Yummm.

Apple Dumplings

I cooked up these delicious apple dumplings Friday night while my boyfriend whipped up some blue cheese stuff sliders for my family. I found the recipe on Ree Drummond’s website, The Pioneer Woman. It was was super quick and easy - plus the ingredients are really cheap.

Pillsbury crescent rolls x 2, ground cinnamon, Mountain Dew, vanilla, Granny Smith apples x 2, butter, and sugar (which I forgot to include in this photo).

After peeling, coring and slicing up the apples, wrap them up in the crescent rolls.

Next, you melt two sticks of butter, add 1 1/2 cups sugar, and the vanilla (I always add way more than the recipe calls for). Barely mix and then pour on top of the crescent rolls.

Pour Mountain Dew along the edges of the pan, then sprinkle with cinnamon. (I love cinnamon so I decided to add a little more).

The dessert is really sweet, so serving it with vanilla ice cream is a must!

If I could eat this forever, I would

I swear if I got this every year for Christmas I would be the happiest person EVER. My love for these delicious Belgian chocolates surpasses almost everything else. Seriously, if you’ve never tried Guylian, you haven’t lived.

On another good note, my boyfriend came to visit! Him and Kingsley are napping and I’m wondering why I’m not doing the same.
